I know the day is not over yet but our St. Patty's day celebration is. Mom is all out of green ideas. When the kids woke up This morning I had the table set up with there breakfast. When I got them out of bed I told them something went really wrong in the kitchen when I was cooking. The eggs turned green, our butter was green the apple sauce was green even when I poured the water and milk it turned green (I love food coloring). Jonathan could not believe it. He had to find that leprechaun that did it. So after breakfast and then getting our green shirts on they set off looking for that sneaky guy. While I was in the bathroom I yelled, HELP!!!! The kids came running in I told them that little leprechaun ran right out from under my bed. They looked and looked but couldn't find him and it was time for school. So we closed all the doors to keep him in and took Jonathan to school.
After school our little friend left a note. That led to another note, then to another and another then finally to his treasure. They found his gold with a note that told them next year he will hide his gold better. It was to easy for them to find.
The kids had a blast and I had fun watching them. I love all the holidays and the fun memories we get to make with them. We are going to end our day with dinner and green Popsicles.
Happy St. Patrick's Day from our little leprechaun and the rest of us too.
