River Trip

We took our first summer vacation last week. We went to Laughlin with Jonathan, Lisa and their kids. It was a lot of fun. HOT, but fun. We left our House Thursday after Jonathan's graduation and came home on Monday. We spent the first 2 days on the Lake rested and played around the hotel on Sunday and went back on the lake on Monday. The Elkins have a boat and we were able to get two Sea Doo's. Those were by far the best toy for the trip. I am so glad Matt's boss got them and we were able to use them. I'm already planning another trip with them. Matt learned how to do a 360 on them and splash people. the kids (except Jonathan) loved them too. Austin loved to Drive them. Our day at the hotel consisted of Shopping, swimming and a train ride. One of the nights we were there Jonathan E. and I went out, our spouses were tired. We went for a walk on the river. While we were walking between a hotel was a skunk. So Jonathan decided to throw a rock at it and hit it, not meaning too. So I ran and just in front of us was another skunk. We were trapped. Great a pissed skunk behind us and his friend in front to defend him. We stood back and watched some people walk by it without getting sprayed. We were still a little afraid it might smell our fear and fire on us. so we walked down to the River bank and back up away from the danger. The only thing I could think about was the fact that thank goodness we don't drink because that night could have turned out way bad. It was a long night that ended at about 3 am. Hey we were on vacation. All in all our trip turned out great. I can't wait to do it again.
This worm looking thing was crawling on our beach
blanket right by Rylie while she was playing.
It's a fuzzy little thing.
Braden fell asleep every time he went on the Sea Doo with Matt.

They loved to just float around.

Braden was always eating or drinking something.

Jonathan loved building sand castles.
We made a cool one but I forgot to take a picture of it.

Our Family picture.

The Kids waiting for the Train. Let me tell you it was HOT. Lisa and I waited inside with the air. What is Katelyn doing in this photo? You'll have to ask her she is the photo Diva always having to pose.
