The beginning of our October Adventures

Saturday was our official start for our October activities. We started the Day off and went to Try-City park for their annual Heritage something or other. I can't remember what it is called. we invited Liz, Scott and Charlotte to join in the fun. Liz is always thinking of all the fun activities it was my turn. She needed a break. :) They had a bunch of old cars that the guys loved drooling over. Each letting us know which was there dream car. The kids favorite was the old fire truck. They got to climb in it and pretend to drive it. (FYI The kids went to a face painting booth Jonathan has a spider on his cheek Katelyn has a butterfly)

Then we walked around to all the booths. Liz and I both got a free 10 min massage. HEAVEN. Jonathan signed up for baseball. Can't wait for that to start. Next to the baseball booth was a Star Wars booth. All these guys were dressed up very real looking I might add with R2D2 Rolling around. The kids loved him they would tell him to do something and he would do it. They would tell him to play music so they could dance and he would. It was fun to watch them.

To end our day at the park we went to the craft area. I got a cool hand made bowl out of wood, Jonathan got a marshmallow gun and Katelyn got an umbrella. We went home put the small ones down for a nap.

After naps our next stop was the pumpkin farm. I saw it on the Alex and Courtney's blog so I thought I would check it out. I highly recommend this farm. We didn't get our pumpkins there but we had fun and enjoyed all the fun things there was to do there.
First we walked around the patch the kids went over to the scarecrow and took pictures Jonathan thought it was funny that it had someones pants on.
Next we did the wagon ride. while on the wagon they make a stop by the pumpkin canon. Jonathan go to push the button that launched the pumpkin to the target that was about 200 yards away. Jonathan was so excited to be able to do that. You can see the remote in his hand.

Then we were off to the petting zoo. I think Charlotte had the most fun. She couldn't get enough of the animals. I got attacked by one goat that wanted the food I had for them. The kids enjoyed it that is all that matters. The final thing we did at the farm was the corn maze. That was fun. Matt had Jonathan hide in the corn and jump out and scare me. Instead of scaring me he scared a lady that had a 3 or 4 month old baby in her arms as the corn stalk broke onto her. That went over real well. Other than that the maze was fun. They had an area that had crafts and games for the kids that we weren't able to get to because of time. They close really early that is the only bad thing.

We ended our day going to Smart and Final. We bought 5 pumpkins only $3.50 each what a deal.
