Girl: Can I help you?
Me: My card says it has nothing on it but I know we have $45 to spend.
Girl: Let me take a look….It says here you have nothing on it.
Me: I know it has $45 dollars. (I explain why we have the money on the card)
Girl: It only says $10 was put on it and that was spent
Me: (A little annoyed) Well I don’t care what it says I know we have $45 dollars to spend
Girl: Let me see if my manager can do anything
(Mean while Matt goes to the car to check his wallet)
Manager: So I see here your card only had $10 so that is all I can put back on the card
Me: Fine if that’s all I can get back then I’ll take it.
Matt walks back in I tell him we only got $10 and he stops goes back to the car while I play with the kids. He comes back with a card that doesn’t even say Speed Zone on it and swipes it in the machine. Balance $45. Ok I feel stupid. The card has no Speed Zone logo on it so we had no clue what it went to. When Matt walked back in he saw on one of the machines the same name on the card. So Matt and I decide it is the honest thing to give the $10 card back.

So the kids and I are playing games while Matt is off playing and a man walks up to me in a New York accent, “Hey Lady” a little startled I look up. “We are here with our company and we have a bunch of cards left over with $6 to $8 dollars left on each of them. Here take them you have kids have fun” So he gave us 15 cards total $90 on them all. We stayed and played games and still left with $65 to spend the next time we go back. I did apologize to the girl and told her what happened.
Moral of the story: It pays to be honest

That's an awesome story. Good job! Haha. But really, it does pay off to be honest, doesn't it? Looks like it was a fun night! Hope you guys are doin well!
Wow! That's pretty amazing. I would be like you...Steve you take it back ha ha. Anyway I'm glad you had fun! I haven't been to speed zone in...well, years! good times! It does pay to be honest!
good for you Danielle! :)
Ha ha!! That's so embarrassing. I hate when that happens.:) You should remind Jonathan about it every once in a while so that he can remember what a great example Mommy and Daddy were. I'm sure you can throw it in a Primary talk somewhere.:)
