Homework bliss

Jonathan is now in his 3rd week of school. His teachers are getting the class ready for kindergarten so they have the kids do 2 pages of homework a week. If they finish it they get to pick something out of the treasure box. The teachers encourage the kids to do other things and turn them in to for extra prizes. Jonathan came home the first day and said "mommy I have to do my homework so I get a prize. But, the teachers said you have to help me." so we sat down and Jonathan did his homework. It took us 45 min to do the 2 pages but we did it. There were feet on the table, chairs falling to the floor, Jonathan falling to the floor. I never once had to get upset or fight him to do the work he wanted to do that. But sitting still that was a whole other ordeal. My mom suggested doing homework standing up. That will be next weeks project. I am defiantly working on my patience. I am already dreading Kindergarten and it's a year away. I'm just happy he wants to learn. He loves to write. He is on the letter A and B and writes them so well. His name he does great. Most of the letters I just have to say them and he knows what to write. I still can't believe he is getting so big. I am to young to have a kid almost in school. My how the years pass so quickly. Katelyn's next. It will be sooner than I think.
